Authentication

No sign-in is required. The hosted endpoint is authless — connect with the URL above and start searching. No 1Stay account or OAuth flow is needed. Developers with a 1Stay API key can send it as a Bearer token.

How Booking Works

1Stay uses a secure link handoff model for payment:

  1. Search and select happen inside the AI conversation
  2. Checkout link — the agent creates the booking with the selected rate and receives a secure checkout URL
  3. Guest details and payment (name, email, phone, card) are entered on a secure, PCI-compliant checkout page — outside the AI layer
  4. Confirmation is delivered via email with your hotel confirmation number

Guest identity and payment information never pass through the AI conversation. The checkout URL is valid for ~15 minutes — if it expires, fetch fresh rates and create a new checkout link.

Examples

Search hotels for an upcoming trip

User prompt: "I need a hotel in downtown Charlotte for May 7-10, two adults."

1Stay searches available properties, returns hotels with nightly rates, star ratings, and distance from city center. Ask follow-ups to narrow by price, brand, or amenities.

Get details and book a room

User prompt: "Show me room options, then book the king room."

1Stay retrieves live room types, rates, and cancellation policies, then returns a secure checkout URL for the selected room. The guest enters their details and payment on that page.

Look up and manage a reservation

User prompt: "I need to look up my reservation — Jane Smith, confirmation number 83920471"

1Stay verifies your identity — full name plus your hotel confirmation number, or your booking email together with the last four digits of the card used to book — and returns the confirmation number and booking summary in conversation. Ask to resend the confirmation email, or ask to cancel and 1Stay returns a secure link where you review the terms and complete the cancellation.
