Install

The skill file stays in the publisher's repository.

Paste the copied command in a terminal. It installs this SKILL.md into that agent.

npx skills add thedotmack/claude-mem --skill install -a cursor -y

How do I install claude-mem-install?: Download claude-mem-cursor/skills/install/SKILL.md from the publisher, or copy the path and open the repository. PlugMCP lists the skill and does not host the file.
Where does claude-mem-install live?: The publisher keeps it at https://github.com/thedotmack/claude-mem.
Which agents can use claude-mem-install?: Claude, Cursor, and Codex can read a SKILL.md you add from the publisher's repository.

Independent of Grok Bot. Do not require the other IDE.

npx claude-mem install --ide cursor

Starts the local worker. Hooks already ship with this plugin. MCP claude-mem-local talks to it.

Observer:

Remote inference (typical): leave provider as openrouter / cmem.ai (CLAUDE_MEM_OPENROUTER_BASE_URL=https://cmem.ai/api/inference/v1)
Local host-login: --provider host (loopback shim; never bind the worker port — on macOS the worker is often 37777, so the shim uses 37778)
