How the PlugMCP directory works
All servers on the first page. Official is a badge. Search, categories, and ingest without a dead-end filter.
The first page of the directory is every MCP server we have ingested. Official registry, GitHub, npm, PyPI, Docker, and Smithery share one grid. Official is a badge on the card, not a category that hides the catalog.
Search uses full-text on name, publisher, and description. Filters for Remote, Local, Official registry, and GitHub are source or transport, not topics. Topic chips only appear when a shelf has enough listings to be useful.
Ingest runs on a schedule and upserts by canonical key. Enrichment is async. A listing page always has the publisher's URL or local command, plus add paths for Cursor, Claude, VS Code, Windsurf, ChatGPT, and Codex.
Official status comes from the MCP registry (source = registry). We do not invent a separate claim or verification step on the public page.
