Tools
Limits
Counted per address. Compact results, ten per page. Enough to try it, and what ChatGPT uses.
Sign up, create a directory key on the dashboard, and send it as a Bearer header. Every field, including install configs in search results.
Any paid PlugMCP plan. Fifty results per page, under fair use.
A key is shown once. We keep only its hash, and checking it never leaves the directory database.
FAQ
No. Without a key the directory MCP answers 50 tool calls a day per address, with compact results. A free PlugMCP account key raises that to 500 a day with every field, and a paid plan to 20,000.
As a header: "Authorization: Bearer <key>". Create the key on the PlugMCP dashboard. It is shown once and only its hash is stored.
Yes, as a remote connector with the URL above. ChatGPT cannot send a key header, so it uses the no-key tier.
Yes. Send "Add a custom MCP server called plugmcp-directory at https://plugmcp.ai/mcp-server" in a Grok Bot chat and confirm the card. Every Bot on your account gets it. Ask it for a server with client grok-bot and it returns the message that adds that server too, and get_skill returns the message that installs a skill.
It finds them and returns the install config for your client. The servers themselves run at their publishers, not on PlugMCP.
One line per tool call in our server logs (the tool, the search words, timing and an address hash that changes daily) and daily totals in the directory database. Nothing about a call is written to our account database.
The directory MCP also has its own listing: PlugMCP Directory. New to it? Read the step-by-step guide. Prefer a browser? Browse the directory.
